Didn’t read, just clicked NP. I owned and 85 1/2 Escort and it was a great car. This one brings efi to the mix and looks good. Now, I’ll go back and read the text.
A week ago, I rented a car to visit family in New England. The car given was a 2016 Chevy Cruze LTZ. I was impressed by the power of the car, it had no problem managing the hills of New Hampshire and Vermont but the fuel economy was not great in my opinion. Obviously Amazon and Clarkson contacted the good folks at Carrerra Cup and needed to drum up some interest in the new series.
My ‘91 Prelude won’t be hacked remotely. Heck it doesn’t even have keyless entry unless I forget to lock the door.

Nice car but it is hard for me to consider spending that much on it.
I second this motion!
Love it! Mine was red! I don’t know where it is but my ex-wife may have it.
Thanks for such a great piece of journalism! In my 2 visits to the Philippines, I marveled at the Jeepneys and tricycles. My last visit was in 1998. I remember seeing a Jeepney with the nose of a Honda grafted onto it, it was a bit surreal.
I agree on the no better option part.
I lived in Massachusetts for the first 28 years of my life. I remember the stress of trying to get an old car to pass the state inspection. I’ve owned some rusty cars.
Yikes! I’m stunned by the pricing on Hemmings. Of course, Hemmings is a place for collectors and the pricing reflects this.
It is a solid design. The only change: It has to be named “T Mode” as it follows the same naming convention as the C Max hybrid.
