All the covers by Young and Beautiful in a Hurry (Brendan McCreary, brother of show composer Bear McCreary) are pretty great, in my opinion. The season 1 soundtrack is phenomenal.

City. Berlin is a city.
She seemingly died (collapsed, at least) after Stahma poisoned her last season,
To be fair, the chain was kind of rusty (and the base was clearly not attached very strongly). She didn't really have much else to work with.
Wouldn't be much of a villain if they didn't want to influence the future of the world.
Your comment just made me realize that she could probably make a fortune on selling her own organs. Brilliant.
Precisely.
A compelling argument.
That makes more sense now. Kind of like those people in real life who like pretending to be vampires.
Who says we're supposed to side with Nolan all the time? Sure, he's the main character, but they're pretty clearly showing us how much of a dick he's being to Tommy.
You are correct that they were not drugs, just makeup. I don't know that Christie necessarily did it because it's a "turn-on" - she just wanted to get away from her own kinda stifling life.
/r/Zune seems neither sad (other than in the sense that people have Zunes) nor rabid… Just kinda there because people still have Zunes.
Doesn't really avoid the clichés - it just sort of justifies (some of) them by humanizing the characters involved.
Exactly. That was my problem with that scene. I can understand Neil being angry at Simon, but to ruin Simon's life just because Neil's own wife sought Simon out is just a shitty thing to do.
That's a pretty stupid reason, because virtually every show nowadays (unfortunately) has a hashtag on screen. Hell, even the commercials have hashtags.
The beginning of the series premiere is quite cheesy as well, but it does oddly well in the middle of the episode. And then, as the review mentions, right as they get close to actually dealing with their problems, main character becomes a total asshole.
They will combine into some sort of super-idol group, and Momoiro Clover Z will have to be the ones to save us. Because, you know… Sentai.
Hey, just because the culture around it is creepy doesn't make the song bad.
I feel like they cut out a scene where Berlin brought it up. She never reappeared in the episode, and Irisa just ran away until reappearing later in the forest…
"I wonder when she's going to drunkenly crush on Nolan - and if Darla will let her live for it!"
