Hello from Jalopnik!
Many engines will burn about a quart between service intervals (often 10,000 to 15,000 miles today) and you’ll find that the automaker and its technicians will find such burn to be completely normal.

Agreed. Right now, if you don’t anticipate your product moving more than 100,000 a year or so, especially at the price midsize sedans sell for, it’s not worth moving into that market segment.
I just put down a deposit for a Lexus IS500. Long live sedans!
First thing I thought of when it drove off.
Uh, I’m not sure about how California works, but this would be covered by the other driver’s insurance, not his. You contact your insurance company, tell them what happened and the other person’s insurance information, then your company cuts you a check and sues their company for the balance. At worst, you file…
“Some folks on social media are already asking why Hook went to GoFundMe instead of to his insurance company to report a hit-and-run — a very valid question. Car insurance claims, though, can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to sort out, and there’s no guarantee Hook will be compensated for the entire…
I don’t understand this. If that had been my car, my socially inept self would not be able to setup a go-fund-me account and get actual money out of it.
I had two cars in the fleet with full size spares, the spare was always swapped when a set of tires was replaced. What’s wrong with you people?
I can see this perhaps being true of cars, or any vehicle with a donut spare. But in the 4x4 crowd where flats, remote locations and uncommon tire sizes are the name of the game replacing your spare with the rest of your tires and doing 5 tire rotations is definitely the norm. Daily driver where its never off pavement…
I just saw an marketplace ad for corvette Z06 wheels and tires. In the ad stating wheels and tires in great condition. Zoomed in on date code of 2008. Not so great after all.
The obsession with small cars on this site borders on the manic.
Anyone who bitches about wasteful car choices needs to either own a commercial vehicle or a Mirage.
Thank you for putting so succinctly what was floating around in my head.
Can we please get articles about cars again? I really miss stories about tail lights and actual driving vehicles. If that is gone from Jalopnik now please someone tell me where I need to go to read about cars.
The vast majority of car buyers need a covered cargo area
Townhouses, note multiple front doors.
I’d wager they’re two different houses tacked together. Aka townhouses.
“breaks....breaks....breaks”
Agreed; it’s fun to pop the hood or trunk of my GenV (assuming yours is a GenV as well) and see the carbon. It feels like a fun little secret. It’s nice to get the subtle peak of it around the rear glass when looking through the rearview mirror too. I do have the TA1.0 front mini spoilers and deck spoiler which are…
