yup, I would rather put that chunk of change getting a Viper.

Wake me up when this all ends.

I don’t recall the title of it, but I remember one of these films from when I took Driver’s Education in 1997. And frankly, that we’re not showing them anymore, that we’re not emphasizing the responsibility of the driver as the most critical part of highway safety, is a great loss. Despite the efforts of an entire

I honestly don’t have a problem with these films. We don’t seem to censor anything else in society so why should we censor the real world consequences of bad decisions on the road. Sheltering kids doesn’t make them safer. By driving age kids have seen far worse in movies and on the internet.

I won’t blame Tesla for this, just like I won’t blame any individual for taking a SALT deduction. This is the tax code and the only ones to blame for it are the politicians we voted into office

It’s a bad sign when the writer can’t make it through the headline without giving away the fact they don’t understand the subject they’re writing about.

We Drivers is also an early example of blaming drivers, rather than road or car design, for all crashes;”

1. “Federal taxes” =/= solely income tax. Where’s your payroll tax analysis?

I got to “These guys all long for the days of colonialism, when they could just enslave people and force them to do their resource extraction” and couldn’t quite figure out how to recover.

When Raph does morning shift I generally just skim what he quotes and see if there is anything wroth independently following up on later. His actual thoughts and words can be readily overlooked and it’s not so bad.

I don’t think these cars will ever reach that level of autonomous driving until new infrastructure allows for it. LIDAR and use of computer maps will help, but cars strictly using cameras will absolutely not reach anywhere near that level of SAFE autonomous driving.

I was definitely thinking about this. There are plenty of days where it’s just “guess where the lane is”, and a few days where it’s “guess where the road is”. Never mind the kind of havoc active precipitation wreaks on sensors.

We should all use electric vehicles, but we shouldn’t let companies mine lithium to make batteries for those vehicles.

“I would prefer that you die rather than bang”

Presidents don’t impact short term energy prices much, but practically every decision Biden has made has put upward pressure on energy prices.

It was peak Raph.

We may not always agree, but we do this time.

Exceptional comment.

3rd Gear: The USPS doesn’t receive federal funding. While EVs should be a great use case for delivering mail I don’t think the USPS has to listen to Biden on this one.

In the end, Joe Cool was the perfect embodiment of the EV experience. Over-hyped, fragile and unable to get those depending on him to their destination.
