The unfortunate thing (depending on one’s perspective) is they did move the Viper upmarket for Gen 5 anyways, and the high initial price/poor strategy led to slow sales out of the gate, price reductions, and ultimately the car’s cancellation. Without the Firepower or anything else to show for it either.

Yeah, to be completely clear, I have nothing against the Integra vis a vis its normal competition (the FWD hatchbacks you mention). Not typically a vehicle class I’m very interested in, but if I was, this seems like a decent option.

The IS bothered me less than the Q50 which is a size up and a significantly more powerful vehicle.

This is the only thing that makes sense.

Even those numbers are below “rough trade in” on NADA ($19,500) although it’s closer than any of mine.

I’ve tried all my vehicles in their algorithm, not just the one I’m actively selling, and I have yet to reach the “rough trade in” value for any of them, let alone “clean trade in” or “private party”.

In the spirit of Carvana’s insulting offer for my car, I will offer to buy the company for $10,000. The offer comes with a free bonus of spamming their inbox constantly asking if they want to sell for basically nothing.

Can you fit small kids/car seats in the back seat?

I would hope even 5 seconds of a test drive would disabuse a normal car shopper of the notion that this is comparable to a Q50 in any way.

Even at that top trim, the Integra undercuts other entry-level luxury offerings from competing marquees. The Lexus IS starts at $39,580, and Infiniti’s only sedan (the Q50) starts at $42,100

All of this and I’m still not interested in buying it because so much of the expensive bits are still BMW and I just plain don’t trust it to last.

Cool car for not a lot of money.

You can have viewpoints because you have the right to your own opinions, but you don’t have the right to anyone else’s opinion which means it’s unseemly to complain that the opinions are allowed in the first place when those opinions get expressed.

When I’m a paid writer on the site, I’ll be happy to submit that piece for you.

In that case, I hope some views dissenting from the consensus are published soon!

Nope, has nothing to do with rolling coal or “brodozers”, but the fact that you immediately jump to that conclusion when I simply mention big trucks is a perfect example of what I mean by groupthink.

Replying to myself because I missed the edit window on this one.

This is probably the biggest single thing, and I completely agree.

My comments are the reason for the editorial tone of the site? I’m flattered if you actually believe this is true.

Here are some examples of opinions that I feel are shared by basically the entirety of the staff, and are annoying to read over and over. I won’t tell anyone else how to feel, but it hurts the cause of being a big tent if the same things come out all the time.
