thats just 684B in direct military spending. we spend about another 130 each on retirement and medical for military.

Quit pretending everyone lives in California. In a lot of places, there are no service centers and the mobile fleet is relatively far away. It’s not easy for everyone to get service.
I would gladly pay more taxes towards infrastructure. Beats the pants off spending it on a military budget that is overblown by at least 4x. Infrastructure spending benefits everyone, gives jobs, and doesn’t make us look like raging dicks to the rest of the world.
-Lowering food prices is a positive.
I am similarly reminded of a different quote. When Kenneth Lay, evil overlord of Enron, died, Henry Rollins quipped: “Good. Stay dead, motherfucker.”
In times like these I am always reminded of the famous Bette Davis quote on the passing of Joan Crawford:
I’ll believe that Ford is going ‘all-in’ on EVs when they shut down their engine/drivetrain R&D funding. Stop developing new engines and I’ll believe you. It’s also worth noting that these targets only seem to apply to EU/UK models.
If you can get heat stroke on your mode of transport, you should seek out alternate transportation. I mean, WTF.
I’m the first person to pile on former President Trump for his failures as President, because there were... many. With that said, Trump inherited poor infrastructure, and then did a whole lot of nothing. Our problems aren’t going to be fixed in four years, because we’re staring down four decades (plus) of poor planning…
You’re right, I guess I’ll stop doing my job because you don’t like it or whatever.
In fact just get the top trim Palisade and save $20k.
Getting to that future will take a lot of time and cultural change in the US. Americans are obsessed with perceived freedom, which comes from things like private automobiles and “wide open” highways. There's also the problem of broke city governments being distracted by shiny crackpot ideas pitched by "startups" and…
Neutral: Elio or bust......
It baffles me that I keep encountering the idea that this woman is somehow the underdog or even a hero after this moment of colossal and self-inflicted fuckery.
Seriously. Unless your car has rear wheel drive and three pedals, there is basically zero utility to having a console shifter or handbrake.
Re: The chip shortage, maybe it would help to get rid of those stupid in-dash infotainment systems, and just have a niche and charging/data cable for phones! Would that help?
Maybe they weren’t actually pissed about the vaccine and were just responding to that picture up there.
counterpoint: the regulations aren’t being drawn up with stuff like a hellcat in mind at all. they’re being drawn up to cover the 99.99% of cars that aren’t hellcats and the modern muscle cars are just going to be collateral damage. look around in a parking lot. there are an awful lot of V8 powered trucks.

Important note: Nissan sells a lot of shit in countries that aren’t as robust in the infrastructure department, let’s say. An electric Tsuru might not be a wise choice in a country where they barely even have electricity.
