No, we fight. But we choose our battles.
The only equitable tax is a consumption tax. True. But then, not true at all.
Exactly. Either we have a free market, or fuck it all and have the state step in and take control of the industry. And take over the energy sector at the same time, as they are interrelated.
Aren’t you missing your Proud Boys meeting? Or is the III% club? Isn’t there a Klan rally you might be needed at, just right now? Anyway, don’t you have some Antifa group you need to bust heads on?
We proved your point with every .com company that came and went, with every i- or e- product that was the flavor of the month, all now cringeworthy accomplishments of marketing executives who rightly should be placed in front of a firing squad when the revolution comes.
I don’t disagree with you, but...
If I could buy this and register it in my state, this would scratch the itch that goes unfulfilled by the lack of a truly small pickup. The cargo area is fine for what I want the pickup for, so no harm, no foul there. And really, an enclosed van, versus an open bed, probably will only be a hindrance should I decide to…
Thank you for a great conversation on this.
Again, you refuse to see the issue as it really is.
So yes, my conclusion is race, gender, sexual identity, and (are there more?) should be part of the decision making for GM’s advertising budget. Not the entire basis for any decision, but a part of it. Ignoring a problem doesn’t make it go away, no matter how hard you ignore it.
You don’t get it, and likely never will. Had this been any other group, it still would have noted the bias. Female owned. Muslim owned. Whatever owned. As long as we have that, we have both race and gender and all the other minority issues in the mix, and bias is always going to happen, consciously or unconsciously. Th…
Thanks, you, as opposed to JBT, seem to see the nuances. It’s not an easy answer, and I don’t think there is a good one. We have to eliminate ALL bias, and that just is not possible. We discriminate, naturally. Discriminate means to chose one over another. We do that in every choice we make. It may not be based on…
Tiny? Fuck no it isn’t.
Thank you for being honest.
Not to mention, would a black-owned business that deals in advertising, one of the most nebulous areas of any information science, be catering to specifically black people, or anyone who happens to be involved? Aren’t other ad agencies catering to those needs as well?
Use some logic, friend. I wish race had no part of it, but it is an inherent bias, one that manifests itself so that the one showing bias convinces themselves they are not biased.
The problem is that to really eradicate racism, race has to be a non-issue. Just like any other group being treated differently, the only way for it to stop is to have full equality. No differentiation. And that just isn’t how it is. Maybe one day, just not now.
1st Gear: Ford Has Another Bungled Launch It Can’t Really Explain
Well, why is it that they keep on advertising with companies that seem to be - um, how can we put this daintily? - less than stellar in their race relationships? See, GM knows and acknowledges that they spend more than 0.5% of their advertising budget on black owned companies. So they track that shit. They know. And…
