And to top it off, Disqus is not displaying the posts to me in chronological order. I guess I need to change my setting.

If you're nonplussed, how did you manage to write three sentences about it?

Lexigraphic epiphany?

Wow, there sure is a lot of wild speculation and judgment going on in this thread.

If you were berating Another Lady while not telling your friend, that would be defensible, but not wanting to tell your friend based on third-hand information, while getting all judgmental on Mutual Friend for not acting on second-hand information, as if that one extra hand is some bright line, strikes me as rather

Apparently, Hem believes that when someone engages in an activity with known results, that person has culpability for those results, even if those results involve someone else's choices.

Not being picky means that you have no self-respect? That strikes me as not being very sex-positive.

Unless his account name on the dating site is the same as his porn name, I don't see what good that would do.

It occurs to me that it must kinda suck to be in a casual gay couple in California now. "Boyfriend" and "girlfriend" have come to be used so much to mean "In a seriously committed relationship that would be a marriage if it were legal, but it's not legal so we're just calling each other boyfriends/girlfriends" for so

"A porn star on a gay dating site figures that most of the other guys on the site will be “familiar” with his work."
Are there that few gay porn performers? Or is the expectation that not only do gay men watch a lot of porn, they have an encyclopedic memory of what they've seen?

Isn't the standard definition of "slutty" that one is not picky?

The advice to SCWLW was mostly good, but the analogy to gay guys does miss the power imbalance (and given Dan's disapproval to incest, even among adults, for this supposed reason, this is a bit hypocritical). On the one hand, the idea of a woman feeling guilty for "using" a man for sex does run counter to the dominant

Is NASTY telling the other man that it's a minor daughter, or just letting him assume that?

ET shot first.

What's the deal with people like LW1? There's no indication in the letter that she's made any effort to make her husband aware of her feelings. Maybe she has, and she just didn't bother mentioning it. But it's curious that, apparently, she has a problem with her husband, and she thinks that the way to solve it is to

Plus, even though it's possible that a man might find a woman a decade younger, having one's fans for a family be dependent on that isn't good.

It's especially nonsensical in this case; how is keeping that asshole in their lives helping the kids?

If her name is on the account, she could be responsible for all of the balance.

If the man didn't have the legal right to dispose of the money, one might be able to go after the mistress for possession of stolen goods/conversion/fraudulent conveyance.

I thought of that, too, but if he's broke, he might not have any money to take. But still, it would be good to meet with a lawyer and see what legal avenue one has, especially if he's stashing money in secret accounts.
