@RuckingFetard: well, of course they kill the old model... but it gets discounted to get rid of stock. Was that unclear? They do this every year with iphones also. It's a pretty regular move by companies. It's really hard to convince a customer to buy an inferior product for the same price.

@techynottreky: i guess. but i tend to agree with him, i mean, its not going to be as easy to manipulate as a laptop webcam, or a stand alone webcame.... you cant just balance the ipad on your hand while you face it, you have to actively hold it.... i think it will be very shaky

@RuckingFetard: it likely will, but only when the new one comes out..... i mean, it is a standard move by almost every company. New model comes out, old model discounted to get rid of overabundance of out-dated models, and because who will buy the old model at the same price as the new model.

@techynottreky: ? haha, he said its not the same as a webcam..... or were you simply agreeing? lol, im confused.

@jamjen: 100% agree.... if big brother wants to know where i am, go for it. In fact, i can paint my car bright yellow or red, and add numbers to the top if they really want to keep track. haha

@djdare: as a texan, i can add that we could just take all of west texas (el paso and lubbock, please dear god take lubbock) and replace them with solar panels.

@Gilliam: or a magnetic filament like the one on the satellite.... that would be awesome

@grigori: Yes!!!! Whiteout was absolutely terrible. for some odd reason it reminds me of the doom movie.... which doesn't bode well for it either.

@Slinkytech: I've done that before with one of those tiny thumb drives, unfortunately the next person using the pc did not forget it. I now leave them attached to my keys so i cannot forget them.

@Pixelologist, Esq.: what if it's a netbook with a 16gb ssd? 16 or 8 extra gigs will be a big increase....

@Murray Hewitt: gotta say i completely agree. its the aura of infallibility that i don't get. It is common knowledge that the books of the bible were handpicked by HUMANS to go to into it.

@6ironmaiden9: like that awful movie about a serial killer on the antarctic base... can't remember the actress or title, but GOD was it awful.

@ITIL_Prince: In a similar case, where a police chopper used thermal cam's to scan a house, found higher than normal temps, and searched the house, the scan was then found to be an illegal search and all the evidence found (a lot of marijuana) was not admissible.

@Tim_Ballard: the point was more on the bottle versus can rather than cans being a new phenomenon. Cans get a bad rap.

@twothefutureandbeyond: Sry for the ridiculously slow response... haha, no gizmodo time recently.

@NaraVara: just remember that the tools of the day on 911 were mainly boxcutters. they were chosen because they are relatively innocuous items. and, btw, some pocket knives are pretty narly :D

@uchida: oooh, that could could either be one really good flight, or one really bad flight. unfortunately, unless you are on board the flight with a college cheerleader team, it is likely to be one bad flight. or, if that cheerleader team is from TXa&m, its still a bad flight.
