Latino refers not only to region but also those colonized by the Spanish. So though not all Filipino/as are or will identify as Latinx some will and that choice is up to them. Also not all Filipinos speak Tagalog. Many also Speak Spanish. My grandmothers family is from the Philipines and they speak both.
