...until one breaks off, then you have to use a can opener anyway.

Yep, my parents had an electric can opener back in the 80s. It also sliced vertically. This is another lifehack that’s wrong in terms of saying other people are doing it wrong.

WRONG! This crap has been filling my news feed lately, and it’s time to stop this viral nonsense. Here is an image from the original patent for the type of can opener in question:

Ride more. End of story.

Leaving my bubble means going to a black owned business? What are you even talking about?

Its been that way for a while. I, a college educated professional in healthcare, have been accused by someone making minimum wage of being cheap or poor because I was using a 3 year old phone.

That is what I do. I buy last years beastly model, usually when its on some sort of “back to school” sale so its only about 20% more than a mid-range model. Then I use it until it starts to become an issue, like the battery isnt holding a charge. Until then Ive never had a phone that kept me from doing 99% of what I

Or you could have just shared your library with her as an authorized user.

How much better is the new Kindle Oasis over the Kindle Voyage? Like any good tech junkie, I’ll needlessly upgrade to a point, but it really has to be moderately better.

I know many people are up in arms about this but I never saw what all the fuss was about to force employers to offer it in the first place. They are choosing to offer health benefits as part of employment. It seems to me they should have the choice about whether or not to financially support something they find

FWIW, insurance is based on an annual contract. The contract can, theoretically, be dropped, but the benefits cannot customarily be changed off renewal, even on a self funded (Where the employer is just paying the insurance for the administration of the plan and paying for claims themselves).

What’s the hack?

How is this xenophobia if those same people have a legal pathway to residency and citizenship in this country, only they chose instead to break the law, circumvent imigration law, and become illegally occupying criminals.

Canada has a nationalized health insurance system, yet it also has a horrible problem with opioids. So they have done quite a bit to reduce the profit angle, yet they are getting hammered with the problem as well.

Without profit, there’s no drug research or progress. And drug companies don’t write prescriptions, doctors do. The over-prescription of painkillers is consistently cited as a major cause.

You seriously do not understand economics. Profit is the leading motivation (and source of funding) for innovation. If by some socialistic miracle you could “force” this scenario, there wouldn’t be drug companies, hence there would not be life-saving medications.

Alternative Headline:

Neat idea in theory, but how could you convince people to actually use them? Doesn’t seem to be worth the effort.

Can’t wait for the follow up on how the rising cost of education needs to be reigned in. I’m curious how these pay raises will be reflected in tuition and budgetary management.

Hey, I think that’s the look my tweaker brother in law goes for.
