She’s not the first female presidential candidate. Jill Stein was a candidate for the Green party in the last election cycle. Clinton is the first female candidate from one of the two major parties.

omg......

Seriously, as a feminist, I do not appreciate other women saying this kind of stuff on our behalf. -_-

The reason he ever even suggested the Trump idea is because Hillary backed out of debate that she promised she would do in California. He wanted to debate Hillary. Back in February she wanted a debate in New Hampshire; he didn’t. He agreed to do it in exchange for a promise she’d do a NY debate and a CA debate. She

You mean the debate that Hillary backed out of? SO sexist of Bernie to make her back out while publicly begging her to debate him.

That’s what I don’t get. Instead of encouraging Hillary to adopt some policies that would benefit them. (Healthcare, income, taxing the wealthiest.) Every comment on a Bernie story is ‘shut the fuck up old man.’ it’s insane.

Is it anti-semitic to refuse to debate a Jew after he asked her to?

Well the other variable could be he’s still making a play for the nomination, and is focusing on keeping his base energized. Because it has been speculated that he could have a shot at the nom if he were to successfully push through a rule change that would require super dels to vote for the candidate that won their

Hell Trump might be more liberal than her.

He’s got a message. He wants to take it to as many people as he can. His message is unique - no one else has been fighting for the working class like he has - and for many years. His campaign is honestly and ethically supported by the people. As long as his funders (the little people) are still voting with their $27

I agree that Bernie probably should step down after tomorrow but the tone of that tweet is terrible. It makes him sound like a tiny little pest that’s tarnishing what should have been Hillary’s automatic and perfect nomination path. Which if we’re being honest, he has been, but why is that a bad thing? I mean, since

Why should Bernie concede?

Right, and if the Democratic Party was smart, they’d be hard at work trying to secure these donors/voters as good standing members of the Democratic Party for the next 40+ years.

I don’t have strong (nor any) feelings towards either but I’ve been under the usumption that Bernie is just hanging around to see if she’s indicted on the email issues. I don’t know how that’d work but I would think he’d get the nod if she is charged. Not saying she should or not be but it looks like it could happen.

It’s got some serious confirmation bias happening.

flames and screams.

This is the kind of bullshit that desensitizes the word “sexist.” Now, Bernie should absolutely concede and endorse Hillary, but him not doing that is in no way sexist. That’s fucking ridiculous. Obligatory:

Out of curiosity, was Hillary asked if she was racist for trying to get in the way of the first Black president? I don’t remember that happening but I could have missed it. Has Hillary been asked if she is being anti-Semitic for standing in the way of the first Jewish president?

By that logic, Hillary is anti-semitic because she is standing in the way of the first Jew who could become president.

For real, though, that is an incredibly dumb question.
