Completely agree that the moment between Zeke and Bret is the first genuinely good thing to come from this season's theme. I wish they had found a way to do more of that, intsead of just rehashing generational stereotypes, or making shit up to fit the narrative.

Pro-tip for Abra - wait until you get some Great Balls to just chuck at one on the first turn. That's how I got mine without the slippery bastard teleporting away.

I was tempted not to pick Rowlet because I know everyone is going to pick it, but I just can't resist. I actually dig Poplio, though! The final mermaid-y stage looks pretty neat. Honestly, Litten is the most boring of the group.

Rowlet might have my favorite final evolution of any starter. I know it's hard to beat the classic Gen 1s, but assassin arrow bird is seriously so cool.

Pokémon Sun! Who's everyone's starter gonna be? It's Rowlet, right? How could it be anything other than Rowlet?

No she's not.

The Flop House had a stone cold classic of an episode. Pretty much exactly what I needed after the electing of President Sex Criminal.

This was the episode that got me fully aboard the Michaela hype train, so that ending was brutal. I guess it makes sense from a gameplay perspective to get rid of someone so strong before the merge, but she's like a billion times more fun to watch than any of the people that voted against her.

Disappointed to hear that about World of Final Fantasy. I've been back and forth on whether or not to be excited about that game, and while the prospect of a more turn-based FF is nice, the game doesn't seem particularly deep.

Overwatch has its grimy little Roadhog hooks into me again.

This weekend will be all about games that are totally charming despite their lackluster gameplay, as I press on with Yo-kai Watch 2, which is like 60% fetch quests, and Paper Mario: Color Splash, which I picked up because every review says it's worth dealing with the weird card-based battle system to experience how

"Baby Birch" by Joanna Newsom. Every time she gets to the "Be at peace baby, and be gone" line absolutely kills me, because it's just this beautifully quiet, heartbreaking moment after the climax of the song.

I'm calling bullshit on all those people spelling out "you" in text messages. I get emails at work from people over 40 and they use "u" all the time, and that's in a dang professional setting. It's not a generational thing, it's a dumb person thing.

Yokai Watch 2, because Pokemon has drilled the "gotta catch 'em all" mentality into me so much that I'll be a sucker for these monster collecting games well past the age where it's reasonable to play them.

The worst worst part is doing that and then citing an interview he did with Howard Stern in one of his denials of a thing he totally said.

I feel like being enough of a troll to have a public feud with Rosie O'Donnell should disqualify someone from running for president. Like, it doesn't have to be an official policy or anything, but it should at least be a gentleman's agreement.

As much as I was rooting for Rhys, Malek has had to pretend to have wet cement funneled down his throat, and to gobble up a bunch of pills from a puddle of his own vomit. Granted, those scenes were from this season, but I'd say he does more than just reads every line in monotone.

BUT WHY

Veep!

Yes.
