@otakufish: yes, retarded idea. However, that's sorta the main stumbling block of the whole humanoid robot industry in general :(

They ruined it by lumping tablet and smartphone together.

so Obama's robo-space program has yet to find its legs. Looks like the fleshies have 'im boxed in. When they told Robonaut he was going to "space" they didn't mention that that space was a little box in the corner. Well, maybe someday he'll get a grip on reality.

at on 43 mph I'm guessing the laptop was making the skidding sounds, but this is totally awesome none the less. Now we just have to install cones every 10 feet on all road across America........which according to some googling an simple math would cost 30 billion dollars for the cones. not bad.

@aThingOrTwo: hmm. why does the world seem so serious as of the last 10 years?

@cutter1: we're waiting for you at ca.gizmodo.com

@Bramsey89: I'ts there in the future right now

@iBuntu: I challenge you to specifically program anything

@icfan: so people who worked for 40 years near the tv station all got cancer right? There's way more "wireless energy" going on there. Anyways, it's like being afraid of light in your house. it's just em waves dude. chill.

This is an amazing post which I should have read when I was 14

@bg-dez: yeah. Jesus definately believed in Heaven and Hell, and in "I am THE way", but he loved people like this with all his heart and tried to meet peoples physical needs as well as spiritual. A lot of people like pretending to be christians because of the network of support and acceptance. so yeah, lots of

@bombastinator: yeah, I think something was physically off. however, I think that his horrible childhood wired his brain in an unhealthy way. so medical help would probably be limited.

@theurbanraptor: yeah, I don't think anyone who would rape a child is a christian even if some church says they are. That's so totally against jesus' teachings. I think he could've found comfort in jesus' teachings if he didn't have to think about those false christians everytime he thought of jesus

if it had 30x optical zoom, then I would want it.

@JDickson87: Unfortunately for your optimism, current processors are made with features just a few atoms thick (like 20 ATOMS thick). when we get to about 10 atoms, then the electricity won't follow the paths any more. So we'd need something other than silicon. And we won't make them smaller anymore, just faster.

I don't think they ported windows to ARM. I think they wrote a full new ARM OS and then put a windows GUI on it, so users will feel a level of consistency between their tablet/tv devices and their PCs

@The5thElephant: same thing I did with more than 640KB of memory :). Actually, computer vision mostly. you have to do tons of processing of all different kinds for every frame, and they are sequential too, so not suited for multiple cores.

@countjackula: oh please. it's not C4, it's just.... hydrogen...

@YourSaltyPinkDeathNuts: First, that was MY point. we're stuck because graphene aint here yet. Second more Ghz does not mean more power. Graphene will run at 50 GHz at the same power level as current processors. But since graphene isn't really a semiconductor, chips are far away still. and we are stuck.
