Most people fundamentally shake out where you do, right up until the moment the person they want to cancel is someone they don’t like for reasons that may have nothing to do with anything they said that got them in trouble in the first place.

I totally get the problem there. One alternative could be to just turn the days into party days at the school itself. Again, it’s less the “can you survive it” and more the “sit still for 6 hours in an increasingly stuffy environment”.

I’m well aware that you can survive without central air in Texas. When I was little, we lived in a home without central air in the most humid part of the state. 

The dumbest part of that is that most schools districts can economically justify their monstrosity stadiums because of how strong attendance is at the games. Even in Allen (a suburb north of Dallas), the district where they had the $30 million dollar debacle where the fancy new stadium fell apart, their football…

It’s weird because my sister-in-law teaches in East Cleveland, in a school with no central air, and they have “heat days” early on in the school year if the weather is unseasonably hot and the classrooms are uncomfortable.

I can’t wait for Trump to start saying that guys like Hugo Chavez & Robert Mugabe may have made some mistakes but that they had some good ideas when it comes to how to deal with central banks.

That may have been true 2-3 years ago but honestly Kanye West has become actively terrible whereas Taylor Swift is still basically just a pop star.

When you have a game with lots of variables, it’s hard to do new content that is balanced unless you have a team that has been working together for a long time.

I think it’s less that precedent is important and moreso that it creates new complications for a very wide field.
