It’s an 80's Toyota pickup so presumably the wheels will never fall off! That’s awesome though, how is the rust situation? I can’t keep a car for more than a couple years before the itch for something different sets in..

On topic: You’re probably better off keeping the car you have and maintaining it, especially if it’s paid off. Or buying low mileage so you don’t eat the initial depreciation. But if you’re reading this, you’re a Jalop, so you know this already.

Hell yeah. Big block all the things.
Amen. Small block is the way to go. GM has always sucked at making diesels (until recently? I haven’t heard one way or another about new Duramaxs), go with the proven powerplant.
The painted bolts, blacked out tailights and the turbo badge tell me one thing- the PO was a kid who modified this like a Civic, only to realize it’s a hell of a lot more expensive to fix and run. It only has the stock wheels and ride height because he spent his last dollars on DRIFT SLUT stickers that the dealer has…
It was just reported he’s brought Dick Cheney out of retirement to fill that position. Six of one, I know.
First gen Hyundai Accents would be a worthy inclusion to that list of atrocities.
Exactly- trim pieces are hundreds of dollars, the wiring is a fucking nightmare and because he is a true gearhead/masochist, he decided to supercharge the VR6. It hasn’t run properly in 4 years. They’re GREAT looking cars that are a ton of fun, but you couldn’t pay me to take one.
Genuinely shocking- they don’t exist in Washington or Oregon or Idaho, at least not that I’ve seen.
...which will also bankrupt you in short order. Ask my friend who restored one.
The 10 year old Frontier is the best looking of the bunch by far.
Dude it’s Spider 2 Y Banana, get your shit together. Or do you have CTE like some sort of thin-skulled pussy? Maybe that’s why you can’t remember.
The grossest part of either of those movies was him eating those greasy nachos.
Mostly highway I’m guessing? Even still, for an AWD beast that’s pretty good.
I was going to suggest a Tahoe or Yukon but they’re not exactly efficient. Decent for massive SUVs yes, but the diesel should do far better. The Durango looks great but again, will guzzle a lot more fuel as there is no diesel option.
In a world where half ton pickups can push $80k (sticker, at least here in Canada) this isn’t that outlandish. Not saying I’d ever buy one but it seems to fit all his criteria.
