He looks like he’s both a sailor and a ballet dancer and terrible at both

I saw Josie and the Pussycats when I was in graduate school, and Netflix was piloting its streaming service with a bunch of random movies that ran on basic cable. Holy shit, that’s a delightful movie. It recognizes how silly pop-culture looked at the turn of the millennium, so it goes full-tilt with that whole dated

all interviews RE: Search Party Season 3 should discuss the wonder that is Shalita Grant as Cassidy. Please/Thanks.

One of the best shows on TV.

It’s been odd reading interviews where the writers/cast have to dodge around questions like “Where do you see this going in Season 4?,” because they already finished filming it.

Another clueless dude using the “As a husband, a son, and future father...” BS statement. Commence eye roll.

I actually think there was little exposition, actually. Like the line Igny brought up about nanites. A lesser movie with worse dialog would have had a speech like “As you know, nanites were discovered in 2019 by Professor Wazzit and are the basis of modern medicine...” Instead the movie assumes we can figure it out.

Though if you watch them in just the right order, every movie can be the scariest movie you’ve ever seen.

There’s so much to love here. His shameless self promotion, his putting words in people’s mouths, his conversation manipulation, his conspiracy baiting.

I think it’s really sad that Shawkat feels bad about not saying enough. She was the youngest person in the room, and shouldn’t be tasked with telling a bunch of grown men who are seasoned professionals to maybe let Walter be heard about something she experienced. That’s the kind of courtesy they should be capable of

My son and I caught this on Friday, opening day. We were two of five people in the theater. This movie is AWFUL. A C+ is shockingly generous. It’s crushingly unfunny. The stunts are few and far between. And, worst of all, the tone is just flat-out weird. It’s this bizarre coming-of-age dramedy shoehorned into a sort

Yeah, that sounds awkward and is largely irrelevant in the context of the (very short) article that makes no mention of his current wife. Maybe just be more like, “Thanks for responding with that information I didn’t know,” rather than get all pedantic about how you would like the phrasing in the article catered to

From Netflix, I’d be totally okay with that. I oftentimes think the all-at-once release schedule hurts more than it helps. I know I never end up reading reviews or discussing shows that do it. The conversation becomes too fractured as everyone watches at a different pace.

He wouldn’t know for sure Clark County actually wasn’t carrying until the next time he talked to Clark County, which probably wouldn’t be for 1-2 days at least. At any rate, if he’s already throwing himself on the sword for somebody else, he might not feel all that inclined to start looking into it too deeply.

Uh, having his shirt off wasn’t HIS idea. Snoke was connecting their minds, so SNOKE was trying to use sexy Kylo to seduce Rey. Creepier that way, isn’t it?

Anyway, since this is the Last Jedi spoiler area, I want to bring up how hilarious the shirtless Kylo Ren scene was. He’s trying to win Rey over to his side—the Force Awakens made a big deal about the turning to the Dark Side being a “seduction”—and his big idea is to take his shirt off. That’s literally something

They made Luke Skywalker interesting. I love the original trilogy. I love Mark Hamill. I have read an ungodly amount of Expanded Universe stuff. And most of it, however hard it tries, can’t make Luke interesting. He’s The Hero, The Beacon of Hope, The Savior of the Galaxy, the Jediest Jedi in all of the Jedi. Even

I’ll offer my defense of the Holdo logic hole here: She isn’t a good teacher, much as Poe isn’t a good student.

“There are worse horror stories, too; people are reporting fights breaking out, lines blocking traffic...” people driving for 40 minutes and then spending an hour in line...
