I can confirm this. I work at Madison Square Garden and our gym and the post office across they street are Team Instinct and have Eggs as the top Pokemon.

I have already evolved one Magikarp and have 357 candies toward my next one. Everyone at work is pissed at me. I live by the water and the park I bike ride at is a lake, nonstop magikarp. My first one has a lousy attack though so instead of powering it up I'm going to make a second one.

I did a 10mile bike ride yesterday and did not hatch any of the 3 10km eggs that I had. I did get some of the distance knocked off but not even close to what I actually did. Guess I will try to slow down a bit. I get more distance bouncing around the wifi access points at work while sitting down...
