The winner of the 1990 Irish presidential election, Mary Robinson, is widely regarded as the best President that the country ever had whereas the winner of the first vote, Brian Lenihan Sr., was little more than the crony of the most corrupt Taoiseach (PM) that the country ever had. That alone is reason enough for…
When I woke this morning, I thought to myself, "I really want to know the origins of genital piercing." This article has fulfilled that ambition and I thank you.
The first two, while not exactly Hugo Award winning stuff, are at least fairly enjoyable and are bloody masterpieces compared to the third. The fourth and fifth are very meh but, again, very good compared to the third.
I've always liked The Royale, in spite of its myriad flaws, as I find the central premise of the storyline interesting. It reminds me of the sort of thing that they have been right at home in the third season of TOS as one of the watchably mediocre episodes.

One thing that religious people and atheists would agree on is that humans cloning animals is not the natural way in which the relevant species is/are supposed to be propagated (though they may disagree on what the natural way actually is...). I was using "playing God" as a shorthand to refer to situations in which…
I can since my religious beliefs have nothing to do with my objection to cloning, which I never equated with either magic or devilry incidentally, as I said. Especially since that I'm not a particularly devout Christian to begin with and have plenty of doubts. In any event, I think that I know myself a little better…
