It’s an enhanced port using a mix of assets from previous games and new assets. The amount of smash 4 stages and characters with no significant changes in the gameplay kind of make that obvious. The new shaders do a good job of making identical character models still look a little fresh. Don’t get me wrong, I’m more

Mario Kart 8 had new overhauled mechanics, new characters and new modes/stages and it was still a port. This is obviously more than that but it’s still an enhanced port because the foundation of the game is clearly smash 4 rather than being built from the ground up which is fine but that’s just the reality

Yeah that’s fair

So it’s definitely a port, and they said don’t expect many new characters, but at least they brought back everything and obviously it is taking a lot of work to remodel some of those older stages and the characters that only appeared in brawl or melee but some of the characters and stages were obviously just using

nah.

I agree 4’s story is better than 3’s but the quest lines were way too predictably structured with a few notable exceptions.

Seems a bit pointless to announce what’s probably a 2020 game at the earliest. It’s still in preproduction, it will release almost ten years after Skyrim.

Radiant AI has potential but they nerfed it in Skyrim because it led to unpredictability in Oblivion, focusing on radiant quests which are way less interesting. I don’t want to play randomly generated quest lines, but seeing random interactions between NPCs based on individual NPC stats, emotions and inventories has

Morrowind had plenty of soul. I could see a little bit of it return in Skyrim but Fallout 3 and Oblivion were the absolute low points in terms of design and writing.

Wrong opinion*

Fallout 4 was a huge disappointment and Fallout 3 kind of sucked too so I don’t think many people really expect much from 76.

Fuck you too, EA

If they didn’t include creepy fetishism and revolting sexual tropes about underage girls that are seemingly never explored in a way that I’d consider artistic or thought provoking I’d probably be more interested tbh.

“Do you just hate anime and avoid it all you can?”

If you take a walk around akihabara, most of the female characters that are sexualized are designed to be underage. That’s the reality. And I’ve watched enough anime to be put off by creepy shit just appearing in what is otherwise an okay show.

“IDK man if you lived in Japan I think you’d know more.”
FYI: Anime is not Japan

Does Sprite taste like Coke?

If you’re comparing it to anime as a whole which is often gross and pedophilic, then maybe it’s tame but from what others are describing, it’s still kind of overtly sexual and again with characters who are underage which comes across as super creepy. to me.

“considering the cast are all pre-teens”

This seems like one of those games I wouldn’t be that interested in revisiting since the puzzles would likely be the same and once you know the solutions to them all, getting through the game would take very little time. I suppose there’s always re-reading the dialogue but I don’t know
