The only game that’s done the core appeal of morrowind well since Morrowind is Breath of the Wild.

Witcher 3 had a massive visual overhaul and completely changed many of the core systems and issues that people hated.

A good sequel brings significant major changes to an existing formula while retaining the core of what makes the game fun, no one is asking for them to reinvent the whole thing but it looks extremely rushed/thrown together honestly. It looks like a Destiny expansion.

In good sequels.
