You said it perfectly. I’m a transgender man, and a survivor of a very abusive relationship. For the longest time, I depended on the love of cruel people for self-worth and value. After many years, I have learned exactly what your friend said: I have a son on my hands and it’s me and I’ve got to take care of me. 

So proud of the students at Ole Miss, and especially those brave enough to protest against these flag-flying fuckheads (and looking totally on point the whole time).
