IMO, there are a massive amount of problems with this assessment of Google's ability to launch a successful social networking platform. Without spending an hour on it though, here is my quick response:

@Yeah!: I have a Toshiba. I use it ever day for long hours as a web developer. With exception to one issue I've noticed, it works well and has for two years. It's pretty powerful as far as mid-grade laptops go and I got it for only $500.

@brilldoctor: At this point, the "business market" is too narrow. New generations of OS's and phones need to stay ahead by creating flexible, and more powerful software/phones that can handle everything from business to phone. If Blackberry didn't do this, then they would die with the Baby Boomers.
