There are really two reasons for this.  The FDA is forbidden to consider costs when deciding if a drug will be approved, and Medicare can not negotiate drug prices (till now).  These provisions were included with good motives but pharmaceutical companies have taken advantage of them.  Eventually that will lead to them

It’s basically a protection racket. “It would be a shame if something bad happened to your restaurant.  I can prevent that but you have to give me free food or money.”

If you’re considered “undesirable” because of your race or sexuality that’s wrong.  But if you’re “undesirable” because of your actions, that’s just called consequences.

Bullies never comprehend their behavior and are always shocked when they become targeted for their snotty actions.

that asshole deserves it. bullying an employee and trying to scare them into giving him free food while making shitty threats and being so smug about his douchiness.

Escalona’s behavior sounds like extortion.

According to Escalona, he and his wife were even kicked out of a restaurant in Madrid because the manager didn’t want “undesirables.”

The YouTuber said that he’d been on the receiving end of bullying and hate and feels unsafe leaving his house. According to Escalona, he and his wife were even kicked out of a restaurant in Madrid because the manager didn’t want “undesirables.”

This is ACAB in it’s purest form.

Every single word of this opinion article is a fiery example of gatekeeping. It burns bright enough to be seen from orbit, and makes no effort to disguise its purpose.

It really is high time Claire stops posting opinions. EVERY SINGLE ONE - and I mean EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ONE - is some dipshit hot take like this one with barely any coherent thought put into it.

a lot of people feel this way bro? take off your fragile nerd exoskeleton and breathe... they offered a generous compliment to a movie everybody loves and added a little bit of critique (which is a really common critique given the ratio of battles > other stuff in the books versus the movies)

Ikr this article is ridiculous

Agreed, this article is some petty-ass bitching

To your point, I’m pretty sure your average D&D campaign would make for an awful movie. The idea that LOTR is somehow a D&D substitute completely ignores how much D&D has diverged from it since its inception - like yeah, they both have elves, dwarves, etc. but D&D goes quickly off the rails from there by comparison.

Exactly the same (IMO, silly) criticism that was lobbed at TV series adaptation of Foundation.

Arguably, we’ve already had the “perfect” D&D movie thanks to Peter Jackson’s adaptations of The Lord Of The Rings in the 2000s—which, if I’m being honest, do chart a bit too close to “action movie” for my taste”

It is hard to pin down what the typical pool size is, but this site:

I mean to be a little fair I think there are bigger water wasters than pools. But, also, fuck your giant pool in the middle of a desert.

Fuck Joe Manchin. We need two Dem senators in Florida (and more in PA and WI). Making Joe Manchin redundant should be the top goal of every Democrat in the country.
