I’m in a similar position. I’ve been called for it a few times but always been excused from it because I work in the news media in both the capacity of a writer and manager.

I’m excited to see how they play him. I’ve half worried we were going to get the old second-most famous person in the film turns out to be the secret final boss kind of thing but hopefully I’m wrong.
Dean Cain being a huge fuckwite aside, I’ve always though the Lois and Clark show was one that best captured my favourite comics Superman - the John Byrne/Roger Stern/Dan Jurgens era.
I was paraphrasing one of the most unintentionally funny lines of dialogue from the film
I always love hearing stories like that.
For what it’s worth - I do love the Superman costume featured in the DCEU. It’s such a great design and reimagining of the iconic outfit.
Whoever the film focuses on, I just hope they’re in it for the science, not the money.
Best is a great actor. I’ve been a big fan since she did that excellent Honourable Woman miniseries back in 2014.
I think this show would definitely work better in binge format. I watched it week-to-week and found the first half of the season tough going, just because of its languid pace but once it kicked into gear, it was far more engaging.
If I had to pick, I’d say he started looking particularly bored in the 2000s circa K-19/Hollywood Homicide. Those are two of his most lifeless performances.
I get that. I was a neurotic as fuck kid and had a panic attack back in 1998 when America did its “police action” bombing of Iraq around the time Clinton was impeached.
Personally I’m delighted by this. I’m a big fan of Cavill’s Superman and excited at the prospect of seeing more of him again.
It was a key example of a show which dragged on several years after it should have ended.
Good outcome to a shocking case. That he spent 23 years in crime for what it turns out is a crime he did not in fact do is outrageous.
Malkovich was so good in series 2. The whole cast is fantastic.
Yes that’s a brilliant one too.
Out of curiosity, which ones (or all of them?)
I absolutely love this series, so would be very keen to see a third part.
I’d agree with all of that.
Great, great interview.
