On further reflection, it was because I went with a mate of mine who had (and still has) a really shit taste in films.

For some reason I saw the second one in cinemas way back when.

I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise.

I enjoyed Season 1 overall. Looking forward to Season 2.

Huge fan of Magic since I was a kid.

What happened to Isabel Fall was a tragedy and something which was entirely avoidable.

It’s been done.

God that’s good. It also didn’t help that the game (until the last two years thanks to Covid) is always played at the MCG in Melbourne.

My view on it is that it’s important and necessary to deal with these things honestly rather than the knee-jerk response that nothing the fallen person did was ever any good and can/should be forgotten.

Fuck I love that movie.

I swear to god I’m going to pistol whip the next person that says shenanigans!

This is one of those shows where I’ve seen a lot of it (it used to air between episodes of The Simpsons back in the late 90s/early 2000s before I had access to the internet and DVDs) but I couldn’t say I actually liked it.

I’m incredibly excited about this. I watch Heat probably twice a year. It’s one of my favourite films. So many memorable and amazing moments.

Absolutely. I’ve never understood the idea of retroactively declaring that someone who is a huge arsehole, yet was extremely influential in their work, wasn’t that good at all and trying to pretend it didn’t exist.

I love the 1980s/90s era of the show. Amazing stuff.

Good.

Oh everything’s too damn expensive these days. Check out this Bible I just got! 15 bucks! And talk about preachy! Everyone’s a sinner...except for this guy!

Which led into Brian Michael Bendis’ incredibe Underboss/Out storylines in Daredevil 12-18 months later. Amazing comics.

The Waid reboot was the first one I tried out but found it impenetrable and dropped it after three issues.

Me too!
