@gizgizgiz: The sort of people who need Thunderbolt are also the same sort of people who buy MacBook Pros. They'll be using it within months.

@Evning Kirk: Light Peak was never supposed to integrate with USB.

@jddf: Pro audio.

@ty007et09: Without any of the applications that people buy OS X for!

You're right of course, in that the average consumer will never need HD audio, any more than the average consumer needs HD video.

The comedy potential of a 27" Mac laptop is fantastic.

@MrCheatachu: Yes, much better to buy this cheap knockoff.

@AJ: So iPad is the Toyota to Android's Mercedes in this scenario?

@WUSS: psst, that's windowing, not multitasking

@wolfshades: iPad 2 will surely be as big a failure as iPad 1

@WUSS: psst, that's windowing, not multitasking

@AJ: lol, Android "learned the hard way"? They should have just followed Apple who got it right the first time, completely redoing every app in the OS to suit the tablet form factor.

@gmuslera: Apparently they made the right call as no one bought the N900.

Re multitasking, while the Expose approach seems like a great idea, the reality is so many apps look the same that it's hard to tell them apart (try it with Multifl0w and see). It's trivial to tell apps apart by their icon and perhaps a text title, app thumbnails seems like eye candy to me.

This quote sums up the entire post, and is obvious to anyone who's spent any time with a Nokia device since 2006 or so:

@Cerasus: And it was a runaway hit, while the Galaxy Tab was a flop.

@jfwlucy: That site is a load. Basically the author trawls the internet for anything that contains even a reference to rape, and adds it to her giant twine ball to prove her point.
