@pixelsnader: "Would you enter a conversation in which all disagreeing comment is ignored? It doesn't allow for a meaningful discussion, it only allows for sheepishly nodding."

I have never heard of the author's blog until today, and have never posted on it. You're confusing me with someone else.

Sorry folks, I'm not seeing @ tags, my edits are editing the wrong post, this new Gawker is a disaster.

@freshlygrounded I'm referring to the Penny Arcade comics that started this fracas.

@Betsy: A man goes to the doctor who tells him, "I have some bad news. You have cancer and Alzheimer's".

The whole boils down to the author's position that "making jokes about a thing promotes that thing". This is nonsense, I can make a joke about rude behavior, body odor, cancer or what have you, and no sensible person would read this as promotion.

@jcibe: Use a URL redirector addon to redirect all gizmodo.com to gizmodo.ca and you'll be fine.

@38thsignal: Well like I said before, many reviewers found many faults with Froyo as a tablet OS, and after all who would know this better than Google?

@38thsignal: Absolutely not, why would it be?

@38thsignal: You missed the most obvious choice, namely the choice not to bring a product to market if key elements of that product are only half-baked.

@38thsignal: Well if Samsung decided to put out a tablet running Windows ME, I would blame Samsung, not Microsoft.

@Sl4ck3r: when's t-shirt time brah

@38thsignal: The reason reviewers rightly claimed the Galaxy Tab sucked was the software, which is junk compared to Honeycomb.

@Sl4ck3r: you're wearing a backward ball cap right now aren't you brah

@jdale: How does Apple have a "stranglehold" on content providers? Can't I buy the same music for the same price from Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody etc. for the same price?

@danielc305: Got a source for that? Moto said they were gonna make one but I haven't heard when.

@Drummertist v.3: Did you just sink a tomahawk into the railing of your deck?

@Sl4ck3r: I do in fact stream my iTunes music collection to my iPhone:

@magus-21: Right, an option that every publisher would choose, since it would mean every subscriber would buy direct from the publisher yielding 30% more revenue!
