Oh god dammit how did the rock rewind thing not occur to me. Thanks kid.

Cool Cool. I usually forget I have the ascend ability. My 7yo told me to use rewind when rocks were being thrown at me.

Your last paragraph brings together the perfect storm that will (finally) lead to Waititi taking up the mantle for Spaceballs 2.

I heard Taika wanted Korg to show a little more cleavage, but Feige said this is a family movie.

Most likely, but don’t take my word for granite.

Imagine how I feel, not knowing how to read.

Actually, I meant “suppository.”

Maybe they should change their name to “Cheesecake Factory Outlet”.

One of the small details I really enjoyed was Tawaret’s ear wiggles. Nothing big but it was just like a hippo. I thought it was a nice touch.

One thing that really impressed me about this show was Oscar Isaac’s acting. Not only his accent, but his whole physicality changed based on whether he was Mark or Steven. The scenes with both characters were so amazing - you’d see Isaac playing against himself, and it’s totally two different people.

The best part for me was when El-Faouly is bouncing back and forth between her own persona and Taweret’s persona. That was an awesome piece of acting on the part of Calamawy.

I think that the Egyptian gods are just fundamentally out of touch. They have very few followers left (as do most ancient religions probably) and mostly just seem to not want to be bothered. I’d love it if Chris Hemsworth did a cameo as Thor and the Ennead was simultaneously scornful of him because he was a relative

I always thought Quantum Leap gave off Time Tunnel vibes.

It’s a wonderfully precise physical performance so far. At various times I was baffled how Oscar Isaac was able to convince me the characters are two distinct entities simply by how he’s holding his face.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Guardians name when it was initially suggested, but it has 100% grown on me over the course of the day. In 12 hours, it has come to seem normal. But I was always going to accept whatever team they chose. I’ve hated that my team’s name was the Indians for years, and I’ve been counting down

it’s cool when teams are named after some distinct local feature.

The Washington Big Babies.

When they score "Can't Touch This" will play. It'll be great.

I heard someone last year suggest that the Braves change their name to the Atlanta Hammers in honor of Hammerin’ Hank Aaron, and, holy shit, is that not the BEST name you’ve ever heard for a baseball team?! It even rolls off the tongue when you say it out loud, The Atlanta Hammers. I love it.
