Same. If you knew not to use iTunes there wasn’t another obvious way to get podcasts. I held off for a long time because of that. (I use Pocketcasts now, for the record.)

The only tip that has both stuck with me and that I use constantly is the "Keep Headphone Wires Untangled" trick. I use it all the time, and I've shown a couple friends and blown their minds. http://lifehacker.com/152499/keep-headphone-wires-from-getting-tangled
Bang!
I'm curious, which project was it? I think they're interesting, but yeah, can't usually hold much hope for them being completed...
Maybe, maybe not. They're selling to "gamers", after all, and I'm sure investors understand that. Sex sells, after all, and as long as it's marked and sectioned off appropriately (which it is now, I believe) I don't think they'd have a problem.
One of the first demos Media Molecule did of LBP absolutely BLEW MY MIND with the power of the PS3. Haven't felt that excited since, I think it had a lot to do with their art style— it particularly appealed to me.
"The best stuff" always gets left out of every game, though. All games have great ideas behind them and inevitably some of that always has to get cut. Often it's stuff that will just take too much time/work. There were other reasons, of course, but I'm sure whatever game you choose, there's plenty of cool ideas that…
I noticed, used it before I read the article, I think because it would have been really ugly if it were just a still image, so I kind of knew it couldn't be that. I like it.
All those beautiful colors...this was my first thought as well.
I know that feel, bro.
Nintendo isn't really a fair comparison because no one really works like they do, and they have resources THQ cannot come close to. Valve is more fair, but still they have other sources of income besides their games. When all your eggs are in the games basket, that puts a lot of pressure on them to be successful.…
Protip: most smart kids have parents who are also really smart. I'm not saying cheating on your kid's science project is right, but if your kid knows all about computer vision because you've shoved it down their throat (or made it interesting) since they were lil' chilluns then it's not really an unfair advantage.
My guess is also that the concept is of a little bit higher quality than the execution. As an undergrad currently figuring out the Kinect SDK, it does a lot for you, but returning accurate, useful data for fitting prosthetics is probably a little bit of a stretch. Still though, the kids show they know where technology…
I require Ratchet&Clank.
Apparently it's Klassytaku tonight. Awww yeah.
I also, was college bound, so I bought a laptop for <700 that has no trouble playing any of the games released for this current generation. Can it it get 60fps on Ultra settings in Skyrim? It cannot. But it CAN run the game the way it was meant to be displayed, and it can also run creative suite software I need for my…
You're barely playing devil's advocate; I've had crashes, but agree with everything you just said.
I have friends who are in the same boat and I briefly considered it, but ultimately my classes (besides Calculus) are easy enough to where I can justify buying the game. Seems like I would be distracted by it either way.
I think you can either think of a 10/10 as the score for a perfect game and thus award it to no games, or you can say that 10/10 is the highest class of games, and by awarding it these publications are saying "Skyrim belongs with the best of the best games being released today." You can agree or disagree with that…
I don't think it works now, but you can keep trying the Steam preload trick if there's no official preload. Type "steam://install/72850" into your browser and open with choose to open with Steam. (app ID found by going to Skyrim's store page.)
