Welcome to anime, where characters can be a wide range of hardened warriors, brilliant scientists, military generals, traumatized war veterans, etc and still all be 16 and under.

Escaflowne is one of the best anime ever, and the music is epic.  It just weirdly happens to be an isekai.

With One Piece at least it’s supposed to be about the journey rather than the destination.  So the whole formula of the straw hats getting to a new island, taking in the sites, meeting people, and then the inevitable fights happening is the meat and potatoes One Piece.  It’s all about the character designs, the

To be fair, I remember characters dying in Naruto.

Can’t imagine fighting over the imaginary crown for the tropiest, most filler-filled genre of anime. It’s like arguing who nails mediocrity best.

So many people have started One Piece as adults and still ended up loving it, it is not something meant only for kids to watch. The same goes for a lot of shoujo and shonen shows, something doesn’t have to be adults only for adults to really enjoy it.

The majority of popular anime is either shonen or shoujo.  And One Piece in particular remains the most popular anime world wide, I’d say it’s a pretty good starting anime.

When starting on any anime no one has to watch the entire series.  One has only to watch a handful of episodes to see if it’s something that they’d be into or not.

They asked what his ‘starting five’ would be, and to be fair those 5 have successfully gotten a ton of people into anime.

In other words, Miyamto thinks all of us need to go touch grass more.

You’re likely underestimating just how major a change it is to add an open world and mount to the Dark Souls formula. With Dark Souls games while players are able to choose where they’re going, most of the level design is fairly linear. So when players come across an obstacle, you don’t have much choice except beating

If DIY housing projects are your primary hobby, to the degree that modders make that theirs, build a house! Why not?

And thus why I made my initial analogy. You like DIY projects around the house? Hooray, good for you! But also, maybe think about building a new house rather than just tinker and mess with a house that was built by someone else.

I’m not against modding as a hobby

That’s like saying if you have the time and ability to install a sink in your bathroom, you should spend that time on building a new house.  The time, ability, and resources involved are on a massively different scale.

I’m playing the God of War PC port right now which seems to be pretty good.  Granted I think it was Santa Monica Studios that did the port, but Sony was obviously still cool with that and all the other PC ports in recent years.

Death Note I don’t think is too bad an idea since it’s been successfully adapted to live action before. The Shusuke Kaneko movies were box office hits in Japan.

I think they already spelled it out, in that we can hear these big announcements any time directly from the companies themselves.  We’re still going to get trailers and all that, just not all at the same time.

“It is what it is”

I feel fortunate in that I absolutely love traditional animation, but it’s not an either-or thing and I also love CGI when done right. I loved the 90's Trigun anime, and given what I’ve seen I think I will love this remake.
