Graduated in 1984 in Northeast Ohio and I'm pretty sure it was referred to as The Prom.

Gabriel Dropout is categorized as shounen, Occutic;Nine is Seinen—but aside from a character with bizarrely huge breasts who randomly (at least to me) shouts "Ultra-C!" it seems less fan-servicey than some of the other seinen anime I've watched (which isn't a lot)

I made some stir fry a few weeks ago with really nice fresh Szechuan peppercorn—first time cooking with it—and my husband was freaking out because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with his mouth.

That is my plan for when my current dog eventually dies (he's only 7, but it's going to happen some day so I'm trying to be pragmatic). I volunteer as a dog walker at our local shelter and we get some awesome older dogs in. Fortunately we get people in with the same mentality, so they do find homes.

We are fostering a pregnant cat—well, she was pregnant, Monday night she gave birth to two tiny kittens. One is gray stripe and the other is black. It's a little early to accurately tell the sex,but we think the black one is female and the gray stripe is male.

Looked that book up and it sounds really good, I just reserved it at the library.

I really, really love It. It was recommended by a friend, and I hadn't read a lot of Stephen King because I brood on the horror. It actually took me a few weeks to start it once I had a copy because I was kind of scared. There were a couple of parts that hit me hard, but it's such a wonderful kids' friendship story.

The sort of hiking I do involves some sort of facility every mile or so.

My daughter is really enjoying Gabriel DropOut—graduating angels are sent to earth to guide humans. Gabriel, top angel, becomes addicted to video games, becoming lazy and unmotivated. The storyline follows her and other angels as they attend high school

I kind of feel unless I'm able to personally engage with the person (which I realize is generally not likely), I'm too cheap to pay just to hear them speak

The Japanese network NHK had a five part series of The Long Goodbye back in 2014 that was quite faithful to the book. It was pretty good—although if I recall it was set in present time but the Marlowe character drove a 1940's car.

Sometimes I do, and then my husband will come in some time later and flush the toilet before he pees, and then flush his own pee. As though they need to be separate.

All I know about Iceland is from watching several television detective series. It looks beautiful! Sounds like a great adventure.

I hope all the attendees of Fursonacon in Virginia Beach have been made aware of this law

Actually, in looking this up to verify my information, Panty and Stocking and Gurren Lagann were Gainax. Trigger was then founded by two former Gainax employees, and they created Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill. So they are all related.

Yes, and I believe they also did Panty and Stocking with Garter Belt.

Kids on the Slope is great if you like jazz, and even without liking jazz it's probably pretty good. A sort of loner high school kid comes to live with his relatives and becomes friends with another outsider kid who shares a love of music.

My 18 year old daughter finally got her first job. Basic cashiering, but she is delighted.

Nevertheless, you persisted.

A series of five books written in the 50's by Ann Bannon about four characters in Greenwich village coming to terms with their homosexuality. Given the historical context, they were interesting, but overall I just didn't find the characters that well developed.
