To be clear: She says Carrie will not be in Episode 9. Not that Leia won’t be in Episode 9. I very seriously doubt they will recast her, but its not out of the question.

Except they’ve never increased the prices on any of those things you cite. Yeah they’re terrible at supply and demand but they’ve never just pulled it and reissued the exact same thing at a higher cost.
