Maybe I’ve never had a ton of time or disposable income in equal measure, but the Switch library seems robust enough for me right now. I only have so much time in a given week, and 3 or 4 games I can enjoy seems like more than enough, especially given how dense BoTW is. At least 8 seems excellent, for now, and this…
It does make one wonder though. If simply sealing away Hell was always an option, and you were going to do it anyway, why bother with setting up Blue / Rouge.
It would have been great if another character’s path explained what happened. Very cool, in fact! But with no in-game explanation, it’s just frustrating.
Those dicks. If I were Blue/Rouge and I escaped, I’d spend the rest of my life hunting down those wizards who sealed me in hell.
Would’ve been a lot less BS if it was explained in a dialogue box before saying The End. In fact, it would’ve been very daring and surprising.
I got to say of all the BS “Lore” reasons for real world game decisions that’s a pretty good one.
What analysts said they be good for 20 years at a loss? Shareholders would pull out and the company would go under pretty quick after that
Keep in mind the Microsoft and Sony are large companies with their hands in many things. If Nintendo screws up their game business, that’s their whole business.
I’d say that the fact that Nintendo air-shipped thousands of consoles despite the significant hit to their profits is pretty solid proof that they’re not intentionally making their products scarce.
Capital cannot be magically transformed into production. They are limited by the industrial capacity they can secure which meets their engineering standards, not by their money in the bank. I’ve never seen a decent analysis of what that looks like
Yet someone will always accuse Nintendo of artificially making the Switch scarce.
Man, sometimes, well a lot of times, it really feels like Penny Arcade doesnt care anymore.
Was absorbing powers even a thing originally? I thought that wasn’t even added until Kirby’s Adventure?
Also it’s cute they’re pretending the 3DS is still alive, there hasn’t been any really great games for that in quite a long time, the best one in a long time in my books is Zelda A Link Between Two Worlds.
Oh, do you have a citation for what they pay per 3D screen? Because the replacement kits for the screen and parallax barrier (what they actually removed) cost much less than $50 and the parallax barrier. The savings being passed down to consumers far exceeds what that lens is actually worth wholesale to Nintendo at…
A new Pokemon game came out last year and sold a shit ton of copies.
A major feature that most users turn off. Sure, the $50 reduction in cost isn’t worth it. OK.
Yeah, 63 million lifetime units sold, with many games still selling around a million copies in the last fiscal year. Sounds pretty dead. I get it, you don’t like a majority of 3DS titles, but don’t be that guy and ignore the obvious.
Pokemon Sun & Moon are less than 6 months old. Dragon Quest 8 is only 3 months old. Fire Emblem Echoes releases soon (and is already out in Japan). Fire Emblem Warriors is coming down the pipe. I still think the Gen 4 remakes are coming to the 3DS this winter. Lady Layton is coming too. So is Ever Oasis, Culdecept…
