It’s easier to hand-waive in a mythology that has a Goddess of Time and many other time shenanigans that make no sense (why did Twilight Princess Ganondorf suddenly gain the Triforce?).

It’s definitely way far in the future based on the simple statement that Ganon was sealed 10,000 years before and most of the leaps between previous games are a century or two at most.

This hope sparked in my mind as the movie wrapped up as well.

Given that many read his face as being one of sad recognition, this actually tells us quite a bit.
