I read the comment, didn’t get it, actually left the page, started browsing other pages, then it hit me. So I returned to give a star.

Well said. The choice to default to the most conventional hero is frankly incredibly boring and probably the most disappointing part of this final season. You shouldn’t have left out the word, because Jon is boring, and the incredibly deep cast full of interesting characters makes it all the more egregious.
As always, I am hesitant to reply to comments with the knowledge that the Kinja system elevates Staff contributions and thus the comments themselves, but I want to address this since I’ve seen it pop up a couple of times in my notifications.
Exactly, over the course of one episode she went from “I’m for the people” to “fuck the people.” It’s not that most people didn’t see her turn. It’s the break-neck speed at which it happened.
Well, that was a shocker and a compellingly horrific spectacle, brilliantly performed and beautifully filmed. I just wish I could buy it. Lots of people have commented about the harsh justice Dany has delivered over the past 71 episodes. However, burning a city of innocent people alive still felt like a drastic…
The problem with seeing Drogon so easily obliterate the Iron Fleet & all the ballistas on the walls is it just highlights the pointlessness of not having Dany do it right off the bat. I’m having such a hard time wrapping my head around D&D deciding to end it with two short seasons while HBO was completely fine with full 10 ep seasons for 7 and 8, and even wanted more than that. Like why rush to the end like this?

Tyrion really didn't need to mention the bells 6 times in 10 minutes.
i guess dragons dont’ have to reload. or eat. or whatever.
Euron can sense main characters from 100 miles away. It’s one of his powers that he has.
Awful episode in terms of narration, fantastic in terms of visuals.
lazy writing giveth magic crossbows, lazy writing taketh away magic crossbows.
I think there’s room for Arya to consider what’s next for her after bagging the ultimate kill. I could even see the Hound being the one to show Arya the perils of letting revenge consume you. Of course, none of that narrative work actually happened on screen.
Can someone talented in video editing make a mash-up of Dany’s face and the Kill Bill Siren/Klaxon thing? Cause that’s what this felt like.
The scorpions were only as accurate and powerful as the plot needed them to be.
#Danydidnothing wrong.
The attack was amazing, but it seemed really easy for Drogon to just burn the Iron Fleet and all the ballistas, but whatever
