Can’t comment as I’m not in the US. In Canada the local PD has jurisdiction.

Don’t rob banks. First off they don’t have much cash, maybe $40k in total and only $5k or so readily avaolable (not in vault or in time lock / central dispenser).

this is nothing. I had friends asking for $350/setting china at their wedding 20 years ago. They were still eating off of milk crate furniture but had amazing good dishes when needed. I got them a pasta bowl set and matching tablecloth as I was still in school and could afford a month’s rent on a gift.

UK anti-bribery definitely covers this, I had to take the compliance course every year to remind of that. (plus AML and anti-terrorist funding)

my brother in law has all his tool boxes labelled by job. It’s inspirational.

don’t get too large a toolbox. They get really heavy really quick if loaded with tools. My preference is to have more than one medium sized tool box, each box having a specific subset of tools.

If it wasn’t for the complaints about the turf I’d have forgotten the tournament was even on. It’s all Pan-Am Games here in Toronto.

which is why I’m in favour of carbon taxes that remove the artificial subsidies on energy - between real subsidies in exploration and costs that aren’t adequately captured wrt pollution (costs that are borne by all not just the polluter).

What I don’t see considered here is how much energy was consumed in using these materials vs. standard concrete/asphalt/aggregate paths. Burning through 10 houses worth of kWh’s to gain back 2 is a net negative.

something to consider is that there’s a range in scope of audits/questions they come back at you for.

The first row behind the bulkhead is where many families sit precisely so that their toddlers have some room. Is that no lomger a thing?

I am very, very glad that my Flash is out of date and I can’t watch these. Very, very glad...

Since I have kids and a dog I’m lucky if I get 20 minutes every two weeks together.

That seems low to me but it was after the launch of the iphone 3Gs which really pushed smartphone penetration rates.

Do most people really only use 1.5Gb or less data? I hit 4 gigs a month and my wife is often over 5Gb.

I agree, I wish I still have my ‘84 Corolla coupe. It’s gone from meh to cool drift retro car.

Just saw this today, what is the etiquette to drop a contact? I don’t want to have too many contacts and I try to keep contacts to people I have a solid connection to.

Unscented, liquid Dove baby soap is the best for kids. I don't care whether it cleans them well but it doesn't melt into a congealed mass at the back of the shower and that's really the key.

when our second was born I lasted for a week on coffee and old fashion dip donuts while shuttling back and forth from the hospital to the house to look after the 4 y.o..
