I don’t think that will work for this kind of online game. The launcher didn’t seem to care that you already had the files installed. In fact, I’m pretty sure I have two sets of 76 downloaded and installed and the launcher decided to just ignore the existing one. I'm going to have to dive into the 76 folder and see…

Normally that would be true, but Bethesda servers were overloaded and everyone regardless of internet (except a lucky few) got 1Mb/s download speeds from Bethesda.

Heather, I love reading your articles! You are a great writer that follows interesting content without a lot of fluff. I just have one suggestion related to this article in particular. I don’t know if you handle formatting, but it’s rough on mobile for this one. It goes:

Owlboy peeps- the game is phenomenal. The ending is not. Do not set your expectations high for the end of the story and instead enjoy the ride. 

Ah, the tale of Icarus who flew too close to the sun. This looks like they're trying to do too much with too little experience in doing so. They're trying to implement everything instead of having a focused idea. The game sounds like a hot mess. I'll play the beta, sure, but I'll likely cancel my pre-order afterwards.

Also, monsters don’t change attacks mid move. They have specific tells for all attacks and are locked into their attacks once they start them (unless you interrupt them).
