Anyone else hoping Koenig is alive and the cold open next week has him doing an exasperated "Hail Hydra" in that trademarked Patton Oswalt voice?

Yeah. With all the distrust in May then it would make more sense to have Skye find the body, assume its May and have her "escape" with Ward. But instead they uncharacteristically had May abandon her team in order to simply the mystery.
THAT CRYING SCENE WAS A WASTED OPPORTUNITY.
… or he was faking it and is also H.Y.D.R.A.
Maybe. But IF everything they've done has been planned from before the start then their intention on making Skye "a super" does indicate that they may have intended this show to be a launchpad for a superhero character/franchise.
Would they just waste Acker for a cute speech about Coulson and a knockout kiss?
My conspiracy theory is this:
"Everything wrong with Agents of SHIELD is put on display perfectly in this episode."
I really, really hope this season doesn't come down to Skye being so wonderful that Ward realizes he should go against Hydra for her.
Unfortunately, it looks like they're setting up the opposite story where Ward will sacrifice himself to save her.
Here's what I dont get. Why didn't they just plow down Blackout with their car? He was obviously a threat and since there's no Fridge anymore then they had nowhere to contain him so killing him would've been justified. What if he did surrender? Where were they going to walk him to a rural jail cell somewhere?
Wait, when did people suddenly not like Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy?
Its just funny because one of the biggest criteria for becoming a detective is their power of observation. So for a Commissioner Gordon or Detective Lance to NOT realize that the 6'3" billionaire in top physical form that went missing for several years and returned at the exact same time a masked vigilante of the same…
Why do people react to a "B" grade as if it were a failure? This was an okay episode but it was one of the more annoying ones too.
I can't stop complaining about this same thing every week but…
The best part of Laurel's revelation was how small her detective workspace was. It wasn't a cliche conspiracy theorists room full of articles on every wall linked with strings to finally point to the truth. It was this 3x3 cork board with 5 pictures that made her go "oh, i guess that makes sense, duh.".
Lets put it this way, could you mention a Chloe Bennet scene in which she was actually convincing as an actress? Or, Does Bennet seem like someone who could transition to a Marvel film? Or, Does Bennet feel like she fits in Whedon's history of strong female leads played by eccentric actors?
I really wonder how this show would be if they DIDN'T kill Coulson in the movies and just let this show play out as a straight up Espionage thriller.
While I like that the storylines are improving, the problem to me is still that ANYTHING involving the Graysons will take YEARS to pay off because this show values their importance way too high.
I've heard this argument against the Lego sets aimed primarily at girls (Lego Friends, Princess or pastel blocks) is sexist and I just don't get it.
