Thats true. The best episodes seem to be the ones forced on them by the studios (Lady Sif and Cap2 fallout)
"I have an idea. Lets hire an inexperienced 19yr old actress that has two facial expressions and zero action abilities to play the 23yr old central character in an action drama linked with the worlds biggest movie franchise."
Quick Summary:
What are the chances that Agents of Shield is really doing something special with the show?
I agree. Based on how much the writers think that Skye is the most important character on the team (universe?) then I simply don't have faith in them in gettingn this right.
I'm not sure if this is an odd complaint, but is anyone else slightly annoyed that being an AoS fan means you have to spoil Captain America 2?
Anyone else hoping for an "Agents of H.Y.D.R.A." show to replace AoS?
If they knew from the start that everything would come to a head on April 8, 2014 (to coincide with Winter Soldier) then why the heck did they present this show as a full series starting in September? Did they really expect that putting Skye in the center of the universe was going to hold off fans for 8 months?!?
I'd love to know the history of WHEN the writers were told about this twist. Did they know early on which is why the entire season feels like "filler" episodes? Did they find out halfway and decide to use it to give life to an unpopular character? Or did Joss Whedon write it into Avengers 3 so they knew from the day…
The coolest thing about Ward turning out to be evil is that it explains his stupidity with Lorelei.
I hate to be mean to an actress that is trying their best but in the case of Skye then I have to put a whole lot of the blame on Chloe Bennet for lacking the ability to make a scene feel like it has any weight. (That scene with Ward was the only moment that didn't work)
No, Skye is the most hated. Making up names for Agent Rock Hardplace just became a way for people to vent their frustration with the disappointment of the show.
I honestly wonder how much of this Hydra stuff was known at te creation of the show (by Whedon(s) or whoever)
Actually, the half of the cast that should be dropped is The Graysons.
I dont think the problem is that it's "22 episodes". I think the problem is that it's "22 episodes about the Graysons".
This is why I hate the internet. I saw that spoiler put into a headline so it completely ruined it for me. But for those who can resist then it's a surprising reveal and makes the casting of Summer Glau "Business Woman?" make much more sense.
Just curious, but have you considered what sort of mental/physical/emotional/sexual torture Sara had gone through in Year 1?
Your opinion on Sara is clearly skewed by personal feelings and it's downright odd.
Det Lance "should" know but didn't he have a conversation with Sarah and she said "Ollie has no idea " or something?
