Fair enough. So… who's done it right lately?

I'm pretty sure they don't get paid unless they get billing. And her name is nowhere on the show.
I agree. And considering Roy got superpowered then it doesn't really make sense for him to become an archer. Plus, with Sara Canary in the picture then it isn't necessary yet to add a female partner. So it does make sense to save Thea/Speedy for season 4 or something.
The brilliance of making Sara as Black Canary is that it explains her skills in a way that is unexplainable for Laurel.
"alienate the audience"? I get your point, but considering how quickly Arrow changes directions then I'd say the Arrow writers are more in touch with their audience than any show currently out there.
I think the drugs and drinking is part of their plan for Laurel to keep losing weight until she actually becomes an arrow.
I wonder if Summer Glau bothers wiping her phone clean or if she just sits there watching the months of dust accumulate.
"It's too broad a statement to just say secret identities are bad."

This is a general Television question, but why is it that the older a show gets the more background characters they add to the foreground? Is it a budget thing? Fan service?
"Except that there's more references to Sherlock in that speech than there are to John."
Prior to this season I'd love to see a web series featuring Lestrade since the show has painted him to be more inept as a detective as he probably should be. BUT, after that opening of Lestrade dropping his year long case just to be a (very predictable) punchline for Sherlock then he's pretty much been castrated as a…
I have to blame the 90min runtime. In season 1 it was okay because the characters and style were so interesting that it didn't feel long. But by season 3 it clearly is working against them as they're trying to eat time with filler material. Clips of other cases, mind palace effects, goofy side adventures and winks to…
"Sherlock sketch show" perfectly describes what is happening and I'm likely going to steal the phrase from you. :D
I guess I'll be the one to just go out and say it. I hated the episode.
Remember when they announced Summer Glau was cast in season 2 of Arrow….
Yet Eliza Dushku's characters are actually more compelling than Skye.
""Jeph Loeb actually suggested the audience is really interested in Agent Ward, "
