Kelly,

It’s really not. And I’m not sure who appointed you arbiter of content.

Also, on the “gutsy” front, I am going to assume this writer is not a parent. I don’t have the details from the anecdote in question, but if one of Hillary’s friends is talking about her young child, I’m going to take “a few years ago” to mean in the 1990s when HC herself had a young child. At that time (or even

So, she reveals that she supports trans people and that she’s learning and trying to better herself on a topic and human condition that she wasn’t familiar with for most of her life. And the takeaway here is that that’s “not pretty”? The purity tests are unreal.

Sinatra TOTALLY stamped that passport, as they say.

I was ready to agree with you 100% but holy crow...he looks a lot like Frank.

He looks more and more like Frank Sinatra every day

Since being shown that he had acted inappropriately with these women, he made a choice to be more mindful with pretty much everyone. I’m struggling to spin this as a negative.

Because an accusation is still just an accusation if there’s no admission or investigation. Whether we like it or not, there is a lot of discussion around Franken and there is no broad consensus that his resignation was warranted. There was no investigation. So that lack of consensus means that one side can’t dominate

He did apologize, repeatedly, just not in this interview.
I dunno about anyone else, but I personally don’t expect him to apologize every time he speaks in public for the next 10 years.

I kept anticipating a turn that never came.

I think there’s more than enough oxygen for all of us here. As a disabled person who has always struggled with weight, and is now overweight because of my disability, I’m thankful to hear anyone with a public platform speaking out about these things. I’ve also suffered from EDs my entire adult life, so I’m thankful

That’s a good point.

^^This exactly!^^ Your comment needs more stars.

Thank you.

I still remember an “article” on Jezebel from years ago that was premised on the idea that blonde women are automatically complicit in all of society’s ills just by virtue of having blonde hair.

I saw the quotes and I was like “so we’re supposed to hate Jameela now?” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinking this from everyone’s comments. It’s not like it was something Jameela picked up yesterday as some kind of cool idea to run with, she has been talking about this for years now. The sniping and tone of this article was really bad

She was anorexic as a teenager and then got hit by a car and laid up in hospital and had to relearn how to walk. She’s lucky she was able to rebound from this and become who she is today. This got her priorities in order and she understands what celebrity culture and influencers did to give her body issues. She's not

I’m here for the comments. I get a good laugh over almost every single comment calling the author out for being an edgelord.
