Hey Luke,
Hey Luke,
Honestly, they are all newer games to me. I like IV, V and VI the best. I'm kind of saying that VIII and IX have severe issues, and X and XII are well made games.
It all comes down to speed. You're probably underestimating how important it is to me. In IV, if you run away from an enemy, your time away from the world map is usually under 10 seconds, and sometimes under 5. In IX, there's no way it will be under a minute. In one battle, this is only a difference of 50 seconds, but…
Tactics was amazing.
Just to clarify, I meant that in big cities, you could not travel everywhere in this cities. Some areas were inaccessible, and so the illusion of a big city was just that. Likewise, while there were tons of NPCs, they weren't all talkable.
I have been focusing on the battles when talking about my dislike of IX, so I'm mention points you mention here.
I read the title and assumed it meant "good graphics", now I see it means no video.
Interesting on your thoughts about XII. My complaints with the game (despite loving it) were very basic and simple. While I understand wanting to create the illusion of big cities, I dislike not being able to go everywhere, and not being able to talk to everyone. Besides that, great game. I don't think they could've…
Umm.. I'm saying X didn't have ATB because the last two games butchered it.
I'm not really feeling like debating it, but more want to know where people stand on the something.
I am amazed with people's dedication to the Pokemon series. I know gamers and non-gamers alike who will always pick up the latest Pokemon game and love it.
Things that make Kotaku readers transform from nice people to alkfdjalskfjalsjf:
Well, to be fair, I am no longer intrigued. So I guess you did the trick.
Please explain using more than a picture. I'm intrigued.
I'm also a big supporter of not supporting things you don't like. If Mass Effect 3 offends you so much, you can get by without playing it. There's tons of great games out there, and there's always doing something else.
I once bought a DLC. In Theatrhythm, I bought the Cosmo Canyon song from FFVII. I had 100 yen in my account, and the songs were on sale, so I thought "why not"?
Lunar 2 is in my top 5 RPGs of all time.
Then my hopes are dashed!
3's world was way too over the top, and way too bright. I felt like I was in a Tony Hawk game. I have put maybe 30 hours into it, and that time was doing Skate 1 type things... finding a rail, and trying to do the perfect X on it (admittingly dark slides a lot of the time).
I'm 30 yen short in my account. :(
