We Canadians do that too. It's pathetic of us.

Taiwanese blood meaning escaping from the mainland from the communists during the revolution/civil war.
Wow, global sales put Mario 3D ahead of Mario Kart. That's an interesting stat. Amazing how well mario 3D is selling.
Uhh... I'm pretty sure according to Mediacreate Mario Kart 7 is the best selling game, and MH and Mario 3D are close, but Mario's ahead.
I think Mario 3D, Mario Kart and Monster Hunter all had something to do with it, as those are the games that are million sellers in Japan.
I'd call it also the Mario 3D, Mario Kart peak, as both games are outselling MH.
Yeah, that's a straw man argument. People arguing for abstinence don't say condoms "DON'T do anything".

Nothing interests me on the Xbox360 (that's not on the PS3), and I'll wait until a version hits the PS3. Also, three consoles wouldn't look aesthetically nice above my TV.
Honestly, it didn't work yesterday (the mobile site). I tried it again this morning and it worked fine. Really strange. Anyways, glad I have Kotaku on my commute again!
Loving the articles, you're a great addition to Kotaku!
Sorry, I know this is not the place for it but...
I agree and I don't. (I read it and I didn't).
No offense to Portugal (I would love to visit, attempted to learn Portuguese to do so.. (I failed)), but would English speakers be more common there than in Spain? I can see Germanic countries having a cultural thing, but Portugal is just as southern and Latin as Spain and France, no?
I think it's basically not true, and the people writing have no idea what they're talking about. The Gamecube for example had an amazing variety of first-party games. The Wii's main games were those casual games people like to complain about. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was an exception because it was the second main Mario…
I picked it up today and am loving it. Didn't realize this was only a sale. I got 100 yen on my account, so I may as well pick up a song before the sale is over. If you want to hear all the songs (if you live in Japan), you can go to the e-shop and under Theatrhythm they have a montage of all the songs (and labelled).
A very interesting read. Thank-you very much for writing it all down.
I felt the opposite. As a Canadian living in Japan, Europe is this magical land where everything is beautiful and everyone speaks at least four languages. I can only dream of living there.
I have the Japanese DS game, and the voices are not stereotypical "shit" anime. They're well done, and sound great.
I'm not sure if Ni no Kuni is really that hardcore, or unappealing to casual types, but it seems that they share your logic.
