I don’t know if it was the prolonged period away from friends and family and my desire to travel and use my passport again...but I enjoyed the crap out this show. bring on season 2.

This one...just hurts.
Speaking of Living out loud...
Thanks...I JUST got this out of my head.
Oh thank god, I thought I was the only one. Some of them are good (interestingly enough, the one written by three friends in NC is still funny) but the latter day ones are almost painful. Especially the SNL one.
THANK YOU. I honestly don’t get the hate some are dropping here.
It look like they are leaning more into parody- which honestly could work. Still cautiously optimistic. (hoping for a Zack Morris is trash joke somewhere)
Eh...I saw the intro, watched a few minutes, and realized it was strictly for the toddler/little kids set. Loved the call backs, but saw it wasnt for me. I found it harmless.
I Liked what I saw, a lot.
Worst part is...Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz is...not terrible.
Ugh. Wasn’t this just an extended promo for ANTM?
Uh...the new cast members were totally in sketches this week.
I don’t think they used as many clips of music, video etc as they did in later seasons. I also recall that getting the full rights for the first five was expensive- and is partially why they stopped producing DVD’s after that.
Its the music/content rights.
The pacing and comedy was definitely off (i love Chris Rock, but he wasn’t the best start to a new season, tbh)...but it was...comforting to see the show back, as it were.
I did feel that they purposefully went lower stakes- and honestly it worked. Simple. Still a love letter to new york.
RIP, Helen Reddy.
So for pretty much everything that gets announced this year, I have said “sure. why not?”
Be cool?
Deep Impact told a better story, Armageddon was more fun and had better action. I liked them both.
