Even when the show has had its lows during the last few seasons or so, nothing will ever be as bad as that 80-81 season. Great cast, bafflingly horrible sketches.

I say this as someone who enjoys much of the show for what it is.

See, I think the second season is when it starts to really, really click- starting with Beauty Pageant and it just gets better and better.

Snark aside, her character did seem to have a natural conclusion to her storyline.

As I have said many, many times about entertainment in 2020...

THIS. I feel like they ignore a lot of good shows to award the same ones over, and over again; many of which are shows with niche audiences anyway- and then wonder why the numbers are going down every year.

Actions speak louder than words.

Now playing

I think i bought this at the exchange for like, $5 and binged it in a weekend.

Yep. The comedy wasn’t funny, the drama TBH was ham-fisted and dull, and the revamp away from the “comedy” mid-season was really, really a bad move.

Everything you’ve said is pretty much on point-and i agree, the early 00's which some people wax nostalgic about- are just not good.

I’m not trying to be mean- by any stretch...but what do they need to do? People will say- its tired, but won’t say what it needs to do. I’ll admit that its not as good as it should be, but it’s been better in the last few seasons- certain sketches are downright good and even a little edgier than they were in the past.

My mistake! I must admit tho- that is great camerawork and editing. I saw the wide shot in a shorter video and assumed they were in the same room.

They’re in the same room- just super far away from each other.

Its more than Paramount, its Paramount Plus!

1. This went from...intriguing... to “mark this on the calendar”.

Calling it now- Ukuleles.

Sigh...why not? If it brings some people joy at this point, whatever.

Oh I am so here for this.
