I think just standard vinyl release day-of, no variants. Not sure about the pre-order (or lack thereof).

Stardeath toured with Tame Impala and from what I hear the bands got along really well, so obviously they might influence each other. That said, "The Birth" was out a year before "Innerspeaker." Agree, no question there is definite simpatico. They absolutely groove well together if dropped in the same playlist.

Considering Tame Impala's last joint (Lonerism) was mixed by longtime Lips producer/collaborator Dave Fridmann maybe it's the other way around.
