I don’t know if that’s quite fair. American car makers have made leaps and bounds in terms of reliability in the last few years, to the point where I’d probably put them on par with Nissan or Honda.

I know more young car lovers than I do old. I think this idea that America is pulling away from car-culture is a projection from people that are themselves trying their hardest to suck the joy out of cars.
