Games on mobile phones have to be kept separate from gaming. There is no comparison that can be made between that game and Assassin's Creed for example. Or StarCraft 2, to pick a more gaming-y game.

Chauvinist is exaggerated nationalist.
Honestly, I'd be much happier if you just removed images and videos from the comments - no violent images and no moderation of ideas - it's great. Kotaku thus far has been very tolerant of people disagreeing with what is said in the comments - I know I bring a lot of negativity, a lot of disagreement and I don't think…
I'm looking at my country and I know we are very racist. My people have no problem cursing out gypsies, but... somehow the western political correctness has infiltrated, and those same people that curse out gypsies and arabs for simply being what they are feel progressive when they like black people. They feel like…
Maybe you are right. I just haven't seen any outrage at black people for offending Japan. Or any other culture for that matter.
Oh, I bet that had Lady Gaga been a black woman, what she did there would be considered cute, or at best - mildly annoying, but not offensive. It seems like only white people are capable of culturally offending others.
Nobody should be vilified for their lack of knowledge. In certain parts of Los Angeles, I'm reading that people can get shot for simply wearing blue or red. If somebody who doesn't know about the gangs goes there, are they at fault if they get shot? I don't think so. I'm fairly certain that some Japanese dude could've…
Oh, hey look more retarded Japanese idiots hating whitey because they don't know Eastern culture and language. Oh noes! The egos are hurt! The nation's sense of security is at risk here! Because a White angel wore the wrong letters on her shirt! How dare she!
Keep in mind that Asians cannot tell the difference between Bulgarian and Macedonian and Russian words - all 3 languages have common alphabets, with a few letters exclusive to each language. On top of that, all 3 languages have different ways of spelling a word out, so it is very distinguishable. Is it justifiable…
Fuck me, I didn't know! I'm still buying PS4 first when I can afford that sometime before Bloodborne comes out, but I may buy an Xbox One as well later down the line, if it can come without Kinect. Thanks for telling me :)
Correct me if I am wrong, but there isn't one Tomb Raider game that didn't make it to the PC, right? I'll go one step further - all great Crystal Dynamics games are on the PC. This will probably be a timed exclusive and will make its way to the PC later. This is not Sony developing Bloodborne and releasing it on their…
I am sincerely hoping the video editing is minimal and the game is actually this colorful. Judging by the footage I have seen so far, the art direction is pure genius this time around, especially when it comes to the colors of the game. I'm not a sucker for graphics, but I care a lot about the colors of a game, and…
Hm, a bunch of these are wrong, however. The video is overall good, but it seems to assume that Lara is already the adventurer from the previous games and she is not. This game is all about her becoming that person, and there are a few critiques in the video that are only valid if she is already the established…
Yes, I am a huge fan of South Park actually, and I know the Mr. Slave episodes. The show also has a bunch of moments that have me cringe, even after seeing them a couple of times. Still, actually playing that felt very uncomfortable.
I'm throwing scary out the window here. The first game that disturbed me in any way has got to be The Stick of Truth, the scene where you are climbing up Mr. Slave's ass. Violence in games never really phased me, and the moral objections in games I found to be definitely hard, interesting, but I always could keep…
It's like... they did not even try. All the jokes in the video are good for improv jokes, but for jokes as a part of a script, as something written, that somebody put thought they are not. I'm not a fan of Titanfall, I'm not being butthurt that they're bashing the game. I'm being butthurt that they aren't funny…
I actually love the lack of exposition. The intentional ambiguity, letting players explore the world on their own and reach their own conclusions, regardless whether or not they are correct is great. To me, exposition and dialogue is the worst way to tell a story in game that is about action and exploration.
The article only refers to the story's depth and not its quality. You're the one bringing this up. Although, Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 do have great plots as games. As books - not so much, but they show how plot and lore is done in games - not through exposition and dialogue, but through the world itself.
So in short, Kotaku says that when a woman makes a game about sex, this is heroic, but when Rockstar makes a game not about sex, but with the option to have an ass gyrate at the player character's lap, that is hatred for women. :|
This is what happens when you go to art school and they don't teach you how to be imaginative. :D
