I’m curious if this falls into the common Kickstarter problem of having lots of cool components for an otherwise mediocre game. Shut up & Sit Down’s recent review of Gotham City Chronicles comes to mind.

I had the same reaction. First time i saw marble racing on youtube, i thought it was ridiculous. Then i was weirdly riveted by it. Then i couldn’t stop watching it.

I wonder if EA will ever look honestly at how much of their own product they’ve ruined in their adherence to Frostbite.

While i like WA movies, i do kinda want to make a checklist from the “Honest Trailers” video and see how many show up in this trailer.

Plus he’s the only director out there still making Wes Anderson films.

No, not really...although i don’t think that’s the point. They work in the diorama worlds that Anderson creates for his movies. If I had a major gripe about Anderson is that his comedy is more often an amused chuckle than a deep belly laugh.

Just my opinion, but it’s Anderson in a walk. Burton’s movies are interesting to look at stylistically but have paper thin depth. Ive usually forgotten them in a few hours. I feel like he peaked 20 years ago, while Anderson still surprises me from time to time. Both are a little too married to their idiosyncrasies

As long as it doesn’t cost me anything more, i’ll give it another look after they re-invent it into whatever. No expectations though. This game no longer has any mindshare with me.

They just did some schtick where they were “acting” at being outraged at the various Oscars issues in the hopes of their acting getting them noticed by a  director. It was like an SNL skit that falls flat. We all get the joke, it’s just not that funny.

To be fair, the part where you get your head cut off and survive is total bullshit also.

Maybe i’ll finally finish Disco Elysium. I’m enjoying the story and characters, but walking around in that game feels like a chore. Since the meat of the game is conversations, it feels like such a drag to constantly be walking back and forth across the same little town over and over.

Tim, this is two videos in 1 week with your hair combed. Are you feeling okay?

Hold up! CBS is doing a new cop show?! NO WAY!!!!

That’s cool and all, but how’s Cuphead?

So much of KRZ reminds me of what it’s like to read Haruki Murakami, only with a distinctly American flavor. It’s whimsical and strange. There’s deep underlying tones that resonate but the hard details of who, what, where, and especially why, feel just out of grip.

Didn’t read outsider, but the Bill Hodges trilogy where Holly comes from wasn’t set in Maine either. It was a non-specified midwest town implied to be on the great lakes.

So is “low-texture animal mayhem game” the new “16-bit pixel rogue-like”?

Yeah, it’s not right to call the deer responsible in most cases.

I agree with this. An open kitchen/living space is fine, as long as it’s not the ONLY space outside of the bedrooms. Even just having one room as an office or play room.
